Fuji GW690 III - last film for 2013.
I just processed what is likely to be the last of my films that I’ll process this year; a roll of Portra 160 that I shot with my old Fuji 6x9 pictured here. I must say it is good to see those big negatives. I have been shooting too much 35mm lately. I think I’ll concentrate on the medium and larger formats in 2014.
Incidentally I have been having some problems lately processing C41. Tiny granules that are left on the surface of the negative after drying. I have struggled with it for months now. I seem to have overcome it at last by using demineralised water to make up the solutions. The water here is hard. I also gave the negs a quick wipe with a clean, damp microfibre cloth after I hung them up.
As for the GW690 or Texas Leica - it’s a beautiful camera to use. I won’t review it here but I’d certainly recommend it.
